Lashes & Brows
Creative lash extensions in Dubai have moved well past novelty. Violet running through the centre of a lash line, a tip lit up at the outer corner, one shade barely visible until the light catches it: colour is now one of the most requested things in the Lash and Brow Atelier at March14 Beauty Residence in Al Quoz 3, Dubai. Done properly it is not a costume. It is a design decision, placed lash by lash.

A creative set is a professional lash extension set in which colour is built into the design rather than added on top of it. Coloured fibres are applied to individual natural lashes exactly the way a classic, hybrid or volume set is applied, then positioned so the colour reads when the eye is open and moving.
It is not a strip lash. It is not mascara, and it is not a tint that dyes the natural hair. The base of the set stays black, which is what keeps the lash line looking defined, and the colour is layered through it in a deliberate pattern. From a distance the eye simply looks brighter and more awake. Up close, the violet is unmistakable.
This is where creative lashes either look expensive or look like a mistake. Colour placed at the inner third opens the eye and reads as brightness. Colour concentrated at the outer corner behaves like liner and lifts the whole eye outward. Colour left only at the tips catches light and disappears the second the eye closes, which is exactly the point for clients who want something private rather than obvious.
The decision depends on eye shape, on the density and direction of the natural lashes, on skin tone and on where the client is actually going with this set. Too much colour flattens the lash line. Too little and the work is invisible in daylight. Mapping it correctly is the difference between a creative set and a coloured one.

Colour changes nothing about the standard underneath it. Every natural lash is isolated before an extension is attached, so that nothing is glued to its neighbour, and the weight of each fibre is matched to what the client's own lash can carry.
Inside the Lash and Brow Atelier, that standard is formalised through the March14 Chart of Excellence. The Atelier is not built around a single lash brand. It works across carefully selected lash systems and adhesives chosen for retention, comfort and sensitivity, and the same selection logic applies to coloured fibres: a pigment that fades to a muddy grey after two washes is not worth putting on a client's eye.

Creative colour can be built onto almost any base. A classic set gives a fine, graphic line of colour. A hybrid set, including the wispy hybrid lashes that have been Dubai's most requested style this season, lets the colour sit inside the texture so it appears and disappears with movement. A volume set carries the most pigment and the most drama, and a shaped signature set such as Halo Wings can take colour only where the wing lifts.
Clients who prefer no extensions at all are not excluded from the conversation either. A lash lift and tint works with the client's own lashes, and pairs neatly with brow lamination for anyone who wants the eye framed without adding fibre.

Some clients arrive with an event in mind: a shoot, a launch, a wedding where the something blue is going to be on the lash line rather than the dress. Others book creative lashes for no occasion at all. They simply want a set that belongs to them and not to everybody else in the room, which is a very Dubai instinct and one the Atelier is happy to encourage.
The intensity is entirely adjustable. A single shade worked quietly through the mid section reads as nothing more than a good night's sleep. A full violet outer corner reads across a room.
Coloured fibres need the same care as any other professional lash extensions, with one extra consideration: pigment shows wear faster than black does, so cleanliness matters more.
Brush the lashes through daily with a clean spoolie. Cleanse the lash line with a dedicated lash cleanser rather than letting makeup and sunscreen build up at the base. Avoid oil based removers and waterproof mascara, both of which break down adhesive and dull colour. Try not to sleep with the face pressed into a pillow. Following your last lash service, the Atelier can refresh the colour, refill the set or rebuild the design completely, whenever it suits you.
Creative and coloured lash extensions, signature sets, lash lifts and brow work are all done inside the Lash and Brow Atelier at March14 Beauty Residence, a two floor, 3,500 square foot beauty destination in Al Quoz 3, Goshi City 2, Dubai, built by founder Ruby Barreau to the standard she worked to backstage, where a lash set has to hold under close up cameras without a single fibre lifting.
